Occupational Therapist
The goal of our Occupational Therapist for you is to be as functionally
independent as possible with what you love to do in life. It starts with
empathy. They understand what you are going through. They are especially trained
to solve problems and help you to lives better. They will develop that rapport
and trust with you so together can come up with those solutions and make a
difference. Some of the services they can provide, but are not limited to:
- Activities
of daily living.
- Eat
independently.
- Participate
in recreational activities.
- Take a
shower and dress.
- Clean
up the house or do the laundry.
- Prescribe
and instruct you on using wheelchairs or higher toilet seats as
assistance devices.
- Teach
you new techniques for entering and exiting the shower, tying your
shoes, bottom a shirt, work on your computer.
- Assist
senior citizens in avoiding falls at home or in public places.
- Improve
balance in adults who have had strokes, modify their living environment
to minimize injuries, increase muscle strength.
- Organize
your household tools.
- Improve
your hand-eye coordination.
